| | | We went to Seattle with Erik and Jessica and stayed in a dodgy hotel that Megadeth was due to play in (luckily not on the nights we were there). I can imagine that would fit the place though – it was loud, a bit dirty and a bit old but pretty cool.
We took in the sights including Yesler Way; the original ‘Skid Road’, where logs were chucked down the road to the port and they skidded. When the area got a bit shite the name stuck. The Pike Place market, the piers, the Space Needle and the other sights were all good to look around, but we had the most fun in a burlesque club called CanCan. My, some of those beautiful ladies and gents were bendy!
It also rained for a whole day while we were there - we haven't had that since it was winter in New Zealand.
