Punakaiki
Posted Tuesday, 19 June 2007
After travelling down to the South Island we met up with two more friends from England - Alex and Ursula. It was wicked to see them, although it felt quite weird because there’s not much at Punakaiki except a load of rocks that look like pancakes stacked in piles - and yet there we all were! After having an obligatory look at the rocks we all headed south to a town called Greymouth where we went on a brewery tour. Several free samples later and we were all sat in the campsite spa pool claiming it was the chlorine making us dizzy. It was really sad when Alex and Ursula drove east and we drove south the next day.
