| Our second placement was at The Lazy Fish Retreat. We did 4 hours a day (ish); Jim doing handyman stuff and Ria waitressing (pity the guests - she's pretty rubbish). It's in the Marlborough Sounds, which is at the very top of the South Island and is utterly, spellbindingly beautiful. The weather was gorgeous and we rowed, kayaked and swam during the afternoons, and were kep awake all night by the blue-footed penguins shagging beneath the floorboards. | ||
