| This place was saved from the Cultural Revolution by some high up member of the party who told the red guards not to destroy it. It took the sculpter monk seven years to chip it out of the sheer rock face, then he threw himself off afterwards because he accidentally chiselled off the wrong (tiny) bit. | ||
