| | | | It's actually called the 'Crazy House' by the locals of Dalat. Designed by a local woman its been there for years and , like the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, may never be entirely finished. It's abstract design is completely out of place with everything Vietnam's Communist government stood for in the early days. So, how did it get built and become an attraction? Well the designer/architecht/artist is Hang Nga. Now usually a building of this radical design wouldn't be approved by the local committe. However, if your father is Truong Chinh - the first Vietnamese president after Ho Chi Minh - then maybe the committee will look more kindly on your planning application. | | Comment on this entry | | | Diary engine © pineapplecharm.com, 2005-2025 I want one! |
