It's a bit hilly

|  | | | San Fran is a beautiful, charming, cool, absolutely filthy city that we both adored. We stayed with our friends Simon and Makie in an area called Tenderloin that the Lonely Planet said visitors should avoid at all costs. Oops. It was great to be in a city we could properly walk around, although the hills were a killer. The streets were filled with equal proportions of people and rubbish, and the food was disgracefully good. We saw the sights, ate continuously, walked until our legs ached and shopped until we dropped (bye bye house deposit).
